Welcome to Southside APA

Throughout this crisis we have been committed to following the recommendations of local, state and federal health authorities. Therefore, we are going to postpone League play beginning Monday, March 16. As of now, unless things change, we plan to resume play on Friday, April 10th. We will continue to monitor the situation, work with the leaders at APA, and keep up with developments on the local level set forth by Governor Northam. If the postponement of League play needs to be extended further, the League’s website (ss.apaleagues.com), the App & our Facebook page, which can be accessed here: www.facebook.com/SouthsideAPA/ will be updated accordingly. This postponement includes all weekend events & juniors league through the end of April. As for how the postponed matches will be handled it is too soon to know as to whether the session will be extended or what until we know how long the postponement will actually be and what National Office decides.
APA has officially postponed the upcoming Poolplayer Championships in Las Vegas. We will update you as soon as possible when more information on when the event is rescheduled to.
Please be safe, and continue to do whatever you can to minimize the risk to yourself and your loved ones.We very much look forward to getting back to the fun and excitement of league play as soon as possible.
Much Love,
Michelle, Robbie & Kevin

Join the APA!

While some membership cards require you to be able to jump the cue ball, bank it off three rails and sink the 8-Ball blindfolded, getting an APA Membership Card is much easier.

Having fun, meeting new people and playing pool is what the APA is all about.. You don't have to be a pool shark, because in the APA -- everyone can play and anyone can win. The APA wants beginners and novices, because it is the AMATEUR Poolplayers Association. No other organization in pool gives ordinary players a chance to win a share of nearly $1.5 MILLION guaranteed cash and prizes paid out through its national tournaments.

How does the APA do it? It uses The Equalizer® handicap system to determine the amount of games a player has to win in order to capture the match. It allows a novice to win less games than a more-skilled opponent to win a match.
